Where to eat: the 32 best restaurants in Naantali (2025)

The Naantali Spa Hotel & Resort is a vast and expansive complex offering luxurious accommodations, including elegant rooms, suites, and apartments. With two pools, a spa, and regular live shows, it provides a variety of amenities for guests to enjoy. The resort boasts an impressive entrance and an exclusive atmosphere that leaves visitors feeling pampered and welcomed. The dining experience is exceptional with multiple restaurants serving delicious food options, including gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan dishes.

Great staff and location. Well equipped spa and hotel - gym area is excellent. Rooms were ok, perhaps a little dated but had everything you need EXCEPT air conditioning. Maybe it was unusual weather [average 25c] but the room was hot and uncomfortable to sleep in. Breakfast and lunch was excellent. Nice walks nearby, and the town is about 900m walk away.

Nice four star hotel and very good service. Most rooms have been renovated and the job was done nicely.Restaurant options are good. The spa section is still the historical one and would need some modernization.

Excellent stay experience, rooms are very spacious and have nice views from windows. Lot of choices provided in Breakfast. Free Spa is included in price hence provides value for money.

Overall, it is probably 4star experience if you go there off holiday season. It is pretty clean in all areas: rooms, gym, lobby, and all other common spaces. Friendly staff, peaceful atmosphere, entertainment programs...But if it's heavily booked like in my case, then it is a bit too expensive for the overall experience you get. Here are some issues on demand periods:1. It seems their services are not capable to handle visitors on high demand periods. On Easter break there were a lot of people. all restaurants were booked, Rucola (doesn't need booking) was not able to serve either. There were long lines for the breakfast in the morning. We went to the town to eat (1.5km) but you don't have variety there - only pizza, kebab and similar fast food places were available. The nice seashore restaurants I remembered from previous summer visit were all closed. The only one working was also serving pizza and Ceasar salads. Some of the spa services (massages) were also fully booked over the weekend.2.main pool temperature was a bit below comfortable. If you are not actively swimming there it leaves you wishing a bit warmer water. A few balls for water polo or or similar watersport accessories in the pool area would be nice to move and have some fun . Partly for that reason, the smaller, warmer pools were crowded and the main, large pool was almost empty all the time (around noon, early afternoon).

Great place to stay in Naantali during Summer, Autumn and Christmas vacation. The surrounding area is full of natural beauty. So, Summer and autumn are best time to visit. Hotel rooms are provided with world-class amenities. You can enjoy spa and go for jogging. Boating is probably possible. During summer you can swim in the sea. Highly recommended.

The receptionist usually greet you and tell this and that but here we got pretty much the opposite. The hotel's architecture is strange. It's has odd lines and a lot of useless small dead ends/corners. It feels like a ferry. One can buy drinks and bev at the spa area, but you'll first need to link your room number with your credit card and of course, that needs to be done beforehand at the reception. No one told that to us, and according to some other visitors, we weren't the only ones who missed the intro.Good bar at the downstairs 👌 Local gin was a surprise.

Moomin show was a kids entertainment. Breakfast menu should improve. Overall ratings are oky and not excellent.

Beautiful surroundings, helpful reception and good cocktails in the bar. An ok spa, although a bit touristy, and some things were broken in the spa. 2 stars because parking costs 15e per day. This is not center of Turku, Helsinki or any big city, and even in those places usually parking is discounted or free for hotel guests.

First impression was good: Lobby, Friendliness, RoomSecond impression was not good: Wellness not suitable enough for small kids and no effort in making it appealing, no fruits in the wellness area, no visuals on water quality control. Only 2 out of 3 restaurants open, the Italian served the same food on different days totally different, simple pasta was without taste or with standard convenience food taste, service personnel were not paying attention to the guests. The breakfast was a mess, chaotic, almost no healthy food, e.g. not enough fruits what we were expecting for a wellness hotel, the scrumbled eggs was out of the box, Croissants from yesterday, etc. Kids park outside was poor. All in all it didn't justify the price for the performance delivered.

We just returned from a trip to Moominvalley with my 5 year old daughter, where we stayed at the excellent Naantali SPA. The hotel is right by the water, so the SPA has a stunning view of the yachts and skerries of the Turku archipelago, which, by the way, is the largest archipelago in the Baltic Sea and consists of 20,000 islands. The SPA itself is very spacious, there is a huge indoor pool, a special pool for water aerobics with a video screen (cool theme, I have never seen anything like this anywhere), a jacuzzi, several saunas, a great warm outdoor pool and a relaxation area with sun loungers with a great view ❤️Excellent breakfasts with a good choice, the restaurant has an outdoor terrace with a view of the sea.We stayed in a family room on the fourth floor with a view of the lakes, the rooms are spacious and cozy, great for the whole family.Moominvalley is about 1.5 km from the hotel, you can get there by train or on foot - I recommend walking along the shore, there is a very beautiful path with a view, or alternatively, you can rent bicycles from the hotel.

Exceptional place for family gateway! We spotted the best New Year’s fireworks in Finland we’d ever seen before!

Great location. As you would expect, on the occasional hot day the AC is not up to the task. Be aware of mosqui

Came during last autumn. Overall, I can see why this spot has been voted the best hotel in Finland. They've excellent facilities (tennis courts and gyms too), large rooms, and the spa section is very good. Moreover, it's quite well located, and the nearby lake views are great.Breakfast is a bit of a mess however, and very crowded. Place is really popular with families.

Hotel is nice and clean. Service friendly and considerate. About hotel and the food everything is good. Spa area though.. I expected more possibilities for kids. There are no children pool, only 2 jacuzzys and 2 pools plus one outdoor. We could get in with baby stroller which was nice but there were only jacuzzys where we could bring her as other areas were too cold for baby. For older kids there are toys and swimming gears but there is no shallow waters. Have to know how to swim or be with parents at all time. Nice possibility to have snacks and drinks in pool area. It's good place for a couple date but not family stay if kids can't swim.

Loved the fancy entrance and exclusive atmosphere of this place!Very 6 and welcoming. The food was especially good no matter which restaurant we picked.Breakfast also included gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan options that tasted good.I guess that is the downside of having such establishments in Finland - there are just not enough people to make it worth building. But despite that it's great, you will find everything you need and on top of that, you can take great walks since it's directly next to the water.

Our weekend break had almost €100 of junk fees added to our bill.Naantali Spa is not a cheap hotel, nor a city-centre hotel so they should not charge their guests €15/day to park on their land considering driving is the only practical way to reach this hotel. We bought a cat with us which cost us €20/day in fees. I do not believe our cat incurred the hotel additional cleaning expenses to that amount. How can they justify charging it per day? Especially as the hotel doesn't offer daily room cleaning to guests travelling with pets.My challenge to the hotel manager: publish your accounts and demonstrate these fees are good value for money for your guests and do not bring you any profit.UPDATE: I was dissatisfied with the hotel's response below and failure to demonstrate the value of their junk fees, so I removed an additonal star.

I visited the hotel for 2 nights with my wife. I liked the room and food. However the Thai food was somehow disappointing (little tastless), and sometimes the service in the restaurants was quit casual and occasional. Sauna/swiming section was packed after Christmas.

Great spa hotel, the spa is nice and the breakfast was good. We ate at the Rucola restaurant and that was good too. The lobby bar and ice cream bar are nice too, and the pool bar had nice food on the Saturday. On check out day you can still use the spa facilities after check out, although we were charged for towels which seems a little greedy for a weekend spa package. We decided not to have lunch at the hotel on Sunday out of principle as a result so that was a smart business move by the proprietor. Otherwise a great stay. Next time we'll bring our own towels for the final day I guess. We didn't have an issue with that the previous year so don't know if it's a change in policy or if we just got lucky that time. Again, it's very little money considering how much we spent overall but it just feels like it should be included when you're there for a weekend.

Not the luxury spa, that it was advertised as. Cheap category of room are comparable to a basic hotel. Breakfast okay, but not overly great. The spa is not really outstanding. Water quite cold with ca 30C.In general it is more of a "family friendly" retreat place and not a luxury or relax retreat place. All in all not necessarily terrible or bad. But the point is that the regular price for the cheapest category is 190€ per night. This is not what you get. Even an upgrade to better room is not really an option as for that price one would expect the Spa area to be better maintained and offer "just more".Keep also in mind: a lot of things that usually are are complimentary in Hotels are charged for. (Parking, towels for the pool, slippers, etc)Feedback by the hotel on this post is wellcome. And I don't really blame the employees at Naantali Kylpylä for our unsatisfied stay. I assume it is more likely, that there was a strong budget cut by the management and now the hotel is just living of its former reputation.Alternative suggestion would be Scandic Juulia (really great breakfast and cheaper) in Åbo/Turku and the Kakola Spa.
