Can you use OneNote on the web? ›

OneNote Online

From any browser on any device, easily sign in to OneNote for the web so you always have access to your notes. Sign in to Office.com with your Microsoft account, or work or school account. Select OneNote. Select the notebook that you want to open.

OneNote for Windows has the ability to embed videos right into a page. Adding videos makes organizing your notebooks even better and is great if you're creating interactive notebooks to share with others.

In OneNote for the web, open the notebook you want to share. Click File > Share > Share with People. On the left, under Share, click Get a link.

Choose File -> Export. Under 'Export Current' choose what to export. Under 'Select Format' choose option for Single File Web Page format. Press export and specify destination file name.

You can embed a wide variety of content from other sources into OneNote — such as documents, videos, audio clips, and more — by inserting, pasting, or linking to such content right in your notes.

Embed a video stored on your PC

On the Insert tab, click the arrow under Video, and then select This Device (or Video on My PC). In the Insert Video box, click the video that you want, and then click Insert.

If you have a notebook stored locally on your computer that you wish to move to the cloud, go to File > Share in OneNote and pick a web location such as OneDrive, and then click Move Notebook. OneNote will upload the notebook to OneDrive and set up direct sync.

You can access your Microsoft 365 apps from the web — including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive, and Outlook. The web apps allow you to: Create, edit, and collaborate on documents and files.

Open Outlook on the web and sign in, if necessary. If the OneNote feed isn't already showing, click the OneNote feed icon on the main Outlook toolbar near the upper right side of your browser. To create a new sticky note, click + Add a note near the top of your feed.
