Saki's childhood friend because she was sickly so she saw her at the hospital usually, until she developed a better immune system (and Saki could be discharged)

She loves MMJ (like Mizuki, her oshi is Minori! Airi is a close second. She can't choose between Haruka and Shizuku), and really admires her older brother and Tsukasa, since the latter is unapologetically himself, even if it annoys others (specially, she admires how he doesn't have any sense of ridiculousness)

She has heard about Kanade and Mafuyu by Mizuki, but haven't met them officially. She has known Mizuki since middle school, like Rui.

She wasn't bullied at middle school, because she only was the "poor sister of that weirdo (Rui)". Which only resulted in her treating like absolute shit everyone that so dared to insult her brother. Thus, having no real friends except Mizuki. She missed Nene a lot in that period.

By the way, when Mizu5 occurs, she will get expelled for about a week for physically fighting "student A", and on the rebound, with "student C". She spared "student B" (read: caught before she could attack him). She doesn't regret a single thing, nor will ever. Ena5 will be supposedly different because Ena is already dating Mizuki.

And she likes to go watch VBS or MMJ when she can. She didn't go to a lot of WxS shows when they were in Phoenix's because Rui would tease the everlasting shit out of her. Kinda regrets it. And since Rui knows her better than she does herself, he usually would have a kitty drone recording the shows and put it on a pen drive. She will go to the RAD BLAST, too!

Holds very dearly a plushie of a yellow duck with a pig onesie, because it was the very first thing Rui brought her with a show's paycheck. Also anything her older brother makes for her tbh.

Why does this chibi look different? Simple! She doesn't attend nor Kamiyama nor Miyamasuzaka. Better said, she doesn't attend physical school (similar to Kanade). Why does she look like she wears a uniform? Because she wanted to be in school so badly, to "experience her youth to the fullest", even when her health doesn't let her, so she tries to look as much as a student as she can. Also because I was too lazy to change my chibi sprite

She admires Tsukasa for the same reason, also because of his mental strength. The same goes for Saki, since Saki is her role model. She met Mizuki thanks to Saki, and quickly became close friends. If she's in Spain, she speaks online to her friends, but I didn't feel like adding that.

She has somehow romanticized school life, because the only thing she has seen like that, is anime, manga and the stories her cousins tell her (which, are all great.)

Saki and Tsukasa introduced her to almost all the friends she has in Japan, Toya helped too! She especially gets along with Mizuki and Ichika!

I made my chibi myself using Kamikou's Mizuki, so since it's not ai if it's wonky sorry lmao. And yeah I changed the chibis to match my dr

ㅤㅤꪮꫀ It's the same in the two different realities! Also, I don't have notes for everybody, so don't expect headcanons here. By the way, if you ship ichisaki (example), even if right now they aren't dating, who knows what could happen in the future! But if they do have a partner, it's most likely it won't change. Since Akito's my s/o, he is an exception, but only with me. No Aki ship except with me! (ofc u can ship him with whoever except with Ena or any adult/kid npc, idc about that!) AND YES I DID THE SPRITES EXCEPT HONAMI, KOHANE AND ENA BECAUSE I DIDN'T CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT THEM!! If it looks wonky like my chibi mb but honestly idc

Leo/Need ➳ PHYSICAL:

NOTES: Saki is a himekaji / Roma gyaru! She's also a really big Sanrio fan, and one of her ultimate favourites is Pompompurin! (sanrio collab my beloved) Also, the pink of her hair is dyed, but the Tenma's are naturally blond! (they have a bit of European family, from Sweden. And also from Spain in my Tenma dr) Also I feel Honami is a little admired physically because of the light eyes + muscles?

NOTES: Minori likes to paint her nails herself, especially MMJ themed! Haruka's eyes are natural, that's a motive she was so adored physically (bright blue eyes aren't that common in Japan!), Airi has dyed hair, it's actually brown, but really likes the pink hair. That's another addition to why she isn't the beauty standard for j-idols, too! She likes to experiment with makeup with Shizuku. Shizuku has longer (natural) eyelashes and really likes to use soft makeup on her!

Vivid BAD SQUAD ➳ PHYSICAL:

NOTES: An has the blue part of her hair dyed, and religiously puts the little stars on her hair. She also likes to wear painted nails. Akito has dyed hair too, but not only the blond streak, but also the whole orange hair! (i don't really like gingers. Respect to all of them tho) his roots show, but he doesn't really care about it Also has a lip ring!!!! Toya has the blue part dyed, he originally has black hair. He's also surprisingly good at painting nails, too (thanks to little Saki and Tsukasa), so An usually wants him to do her nails. Toya is the unofficial Tenma. Anhane (Kohane x An) is most likely to happen

Wonderlands x Showtime ➳ PHYSICAL:

NOTES: Tsukasa has the orange-ish of his hair dyed, but naturally blond, like Saki. Likes to paint his nails, and wears light makeup (concealer, maybe eyeliner or/and light eyeshadow and highlighter) to "highlight his star-like features", said by him. Emu loves wearing colourful accessories, but she isn't decora. Also using makeup with her sister. She also really likes tamagotchi and gifting trinkets to people. Dyed hair, her hair is a black-ish brown, but not exactly dark brown? Also wears contact lenses because she likes to look more whimsical, her eyes are brown. Nene is Emu's favourite person to give stuff, so she has some keychains in her clothes and bags from her. Rui has dyed hair completely, his hair is black, and has a lot of scars on his hands from all the projects in his life. TW! He has a few sh scars too on his right arm from middle school. Has eyebags from overworking and staying late, and usually, the bandages are all from her sister (main) or from wxs (Tenma). That's why it's Hangyodon, his younger sister/Emu loves sanrio. By the way, since multiple people had said so (and, doing very little research, I agree), Rui is autistic. 100%. Went to get it diagnosed when he was little. Ruikasa (Tsukasa x Rui) is official. Rui is gayer than the flag itself.

NOTES: Kanade has albinism. Also eye bags from lack of sleep and overworking. She has really long hair out of not caring about it, but since she doesn't really care about it much, it's a bit tangled. She is trying to be more hygienic, so she washes her hair more than before (depression + saviour complex left her with spending days without even showering, sometimes it even reached almost a week) Ena isn't jirai kei, she wears the cute clothes she likes, indifferent of the style. Mizuki loves using makeup, especially her iconic fake, hot pink eyelashes! She dyed her hair pastel pink, but she has light brown hair. She read about Bonbinribbon in middle school and since then became obsessed, so she has plushies and keychains about her. She goes more to Kamiyama in the main one, since I am usually with her. Transfem. Likes wearing fake nails. MizuEna (Ena x Mizuki) is official.

Reader strongly reminds me of Seele from Honkai impact 3rd. More specifically, her Herrscher of Rebirth form. They both have the flowers and butterflies thing going on, the whole persephone vibe, even similar powerset as Seele's thing is Life and Death. Now I can't stop imagining Reader with Seele's face.

To clarify before I dive into this discussion: This is a Reader-Insert, so you all can imagine Trial Player!Reader in any way you want. Below are just my ideas of her if inspired by the inspo this dear Anon mentioned.

Yes, YeS, YES! I really love Seele’s Herrscher of Rebirth design. It was just so… beautiful to me. If we’re talking about Trial Player!Reader—though, of course, you all can imagine her however you like because this is a reader-insert story—if she had a form inspired by Seele’s Herrscher of Rebirth design, I imagined some tweaks.

For one, less of the blue color scheme and more gold, with hints of silver. We can keep the hint of purple as a nod to Jinwoo, and the flowing outfit would be a balance of white and black, with the black blending into a glittering effect as a nod to the starry sky. The flowers stay, though I’m leaning more toward red spider lilies, and absolutely adding more butterfly motifs both in the clothes—maybe settling onto the flowers—and her aura, which could replace the deer. The branches can remain as they still relate to plants.

The humanoid being in Seele’s design could be one of TP!Reader’s butterflies' manifestations, but with less distinct details like hair. Faceless, but maybe with closed eyes that only show eyelashes, giving off a more ‘serene’ vibe. Definitely, the wispy outfit could have butterfly wing motifs. Background-wise, a starry sky is the way to go, with clear water as the ground beneath and red spider lilies as a reference to the surreal realm in Chapter 20, where she brought Min Byung-Gyu back to life. I already like the circling ruins in Seele’s design, which could represent TP!Reader’s realm or garden. If they’re more portal-like, it could also be a nod to her origin as an isekai. Oh, and instead of a scythe most of the time, she would wield her scepter-like staff.

I’m still on the fence about this, but adding a veil and head jewelry also kind of works. Not over-the-top jewelry, certainly, but silver jewelry draped over the body could look beautiful (see the image below of the switched body of MC from Secret Kiss with Knight otome). Thigh and leg jewelry, if her legs are exposed, maybe. Barefoot or wearing heels—both still look good, I just can’t decide. I’m also unsure about this, but as a nod to how she first ascended from the Trial to the ‘Trial’ stage, maybe tips of her fingers to some part of her arms, and toes to legs could have inky marks that blend into butterfly shapes? Or just make her nails black—that works too. The ribbon-like elements in Seele’s design could instead look like 'fabric of the universe'-like pattern for TP!Reader.

I’m already flattered that you can imagine TP!Reader in a design inspired by Seele’s Herrscher form, which, I admit, has never really left my mind since the first time I saw it. I don’t play Honkai Impact 3rd, so I avoided mentioning the similarity in powers that you brought up because I don’t know much about it. I didn’t want to give my commentary based on limited research, just in case of misunderstandings, and out of respect for the original.

Trying to describe how it feels when Vincent kisses you makes you wish you were as talented with words as Dazai or Arthur. How can you possibly describe the feeling that floods you when he tenderly cups your face in his hands, eyes as blue as eternity, and leans down, softly pressing his lips against yours?

You are one of his beloved sunflowers, cacophonous and bright, baring your soul to the radiant blue sky, joy beaming from every corner of your heart. You are the strong branches of the almond tree in spring, riotous with pink and white blossoms, each petal a happy sigh that escapes you. You are the black spire stretching itself up up up into the expansive starry night, reaching with your whole soul for the stars.

Lovebrush Chronicles: Godheim Review

My very long, informal, and definitely biased review. This will contain minor spoilers for the Godheim arc only so take caution. This review is also only limited to the Godheim series so there will be no overall thoughts on the game itself. I followed Otome Kitten's format and I really hope it helps out any beginners to LBC.

ART:

I found the art very pretty and was extremely glad to see that they did not skip out on giving us CGs either! The sprites all looked good, but I personally have some issues with Lars' outfit (the orange did not look good on you sweetie 💀).

Not all CGs are drawn by the same artist however, which may be off putting for some. The total count number of proper CG's for each route (not including common route) boils down to around 4-5, so that also may be a pet peeve for some.

On another note, there are also mini CG's which appear as small boxes, whether you consider it as an actual CG is up to you. Personally, I enjoyed the roles they played towards aiding the narrative.

Unrelated note, I'm banging on the floor crying and wondering who the hell did Ayn's CGs (the one where he was cleaning his sword was my absolute favorite 😍) and why didn't they come back.

MUSIC:

If there's one aspect of the game that I shall praise to the ends of the earth, it's the music.

Colour me shocked when I listened to the intricate and deep soundtracks for the first time, they just took my breath away! There were many gorgeous orchestral scores that depicted the fantasy setting perfectly. Not to mention the battle ost's which had more effort put into them than necessary.

My personal favorite OST's would be the "River's End", and "Starry Sky", which plays the same tune as the OP song you hear when you log onto the game. It's honestly so iconic. 😭👌

I was absolutely flummoxed by the stacked japanese voice cast, which all included extremely famous seiyuus from the otome industry:

COMMON ROUTE:

To my delight, the pacing was done very well. Nothing was dragged out and the introduction to the overall plot of the game was well established minus a certain plot point which definitely could have benefited better by being introduced in the common route itself.

I didn't really expect it to turn out as dark as it did however. The common route + modern prologue took me around a total estimation of more than 4 hours but in reality the prologue itself shouldn't take that long at all.

ROUTE ORDER:

Once you've completed the common route, you are given the option to start either Ayn's or Alkaid's route. After you've completed both, Lars' route is unlocked. And once you've finished all three routes, Clarence's route unlocks as the grand finale.

This was my personal playthrough and I wouldn't have changed it if given the chance. I believe it had the best flow of story progression. Though that was mainly because I wouldn't have enjoyed Alkaid's route as much if I'd played Ayn's first:

AYN ALWYN:

Ayn is Lars's cousin, but you soon find out that there is not a hint of familial love between them. He shows up as a mysterious figure during the common route and portrays a conflicting character, making the heroine unsure of his standing. While he appears blunt and crude, he is a determined young man who's sworn vengeance, and with an unexpected love for sweets.

Ayn's route in my opinion had the best consistent pacing as well as romance. I did find the romance somewhat abrupt early in the story, but the strong chemistry between him and the heroine more than made up for it! 🥰 It was just so enjoyable to watch them banter with one another and watching them just click.

I enjoyed the storyline for this route a lot and I think it had something to do with the fact that Ayn's route provided a different perspective in comparison to the others. In this route, we learn more about the the political situation surrounding Godheim and the royal family.

I also loved Ayn as a character, and not unexpectedly became my oshi ❤️.I do think a lot of people will enjoy him as a love interest. His route also has a wee bit of spice 👀, so for y'all thirsty gamers be sure to savor it slowly, as it's the only bit of spice we're getting here lmao. I did find some of his actions, mostly in the bad ends, to be OOC, but I easily brushed it off seeing as how much I liked him.

ALKAID MCGRATH:

- Member of the Noventrate

- Good, sweet boi

- Tea

Devoted and caring, Alkaid is the mage assigned to guard the heroine during her stay in Godheim. He's always expressing his concern for the heroine and will do anything to help her, even if it means betraying his mission.

Alkaid is the character who the heroine interacts the most during the common route. His romance with the heroine was sweet, even if it did feel way over the top in it's initial stages when I first played it. But once I got to learn more about him, I realized that he truly just wanted the best for the heroine, romantic feelings aside. 🥺

The route was fine. But I personally wasn't the biggest fan of the direction (?) it took on halfway. Some parts of it felt irrational to me and didn't really feel like it had any real relevance to its own story.

On another note, Alkaid is such a dreamy man. 😩 I adore just how respectful of a man he is in general (women respect juice, bottoms up!), and it was so sweet how attentive he was in making sure the heroine was always out of harm's way. I guess you could say he was someone akin to a hero in fairytales.

LARS RORSCHACH:

- Emperor of Godheim

- Good at combing hair 🥰

- That chest doe 👀

Known as the "Tyrant Emperor" from the heroine's manga, he immediately sweeps her off her feet, claiming her as his bride the moment she first arrived at Godheim. While his initial impression was flirty and playful, he lives up to his name as a cold-blooded tyrant. For some aspects at least.

His route focused more on the Silver Knight, which was the main (and wrong) reason why I enjoyed his route so much! 😆 On that note, I think that the writers had a bone to pick with Lars. They just had to force him to share the spotlight with an intriguing side character lmfao. The route itself was paced and executed well for the majority, but the quality of the writing towards the end was slightly skewered.

But to be honest, I quite enjoyed Lars a lot as a character, rather than a love interest. It was interesting to see the conditions surrounding his birth as a tyrant and his motivations for his questionable actions.

That's not to say that the romance wasn't enjoyable. I actually quite liked the relationship between him and the heroine. I found some moments they shared together really sweet. I also adored the development of Lars' feelings, and you can see just how important the heroine's existence was to him at the end of the route.

Though I guess I would have found the romance more believable if the heroine articulated her feelings for Lars more. I found it difficult to see the romance from her side. In short, the romance wasn't it's strongest point.

Clarence Clayden:

Clarence has somewhat poised himself as an antagonist, only giving leeway in Lars' route. Distant and cold, he is stubborn in wanting to use the heroine for his goal and is willing to sacrifice anything to achieve it.

This route was an emotional rollercoaster. It broke me down, dumped my heart 6ft underground, trampled on its grave, and then some. It left me broken for a whole week for real goodness gracious...😭

This route can probably considered the "True Route", seeing as how it tackles the problem straight on unlike in other routes. The pacing slows down a little bit for a few chapters, but once it picked itself back up, it picked up HARD.

Now let's get to the romance. Out of all routes, some may say it had the least sugary romance, and a part of me agrees. But do igaf? No! ❤️Clarence turned out to be such a longingly sweet character and despite all the harm and pain he's done, I have no qualms in forgiving him and wanting to love him with all my heart🥺, as does the heroine.

I honestly don't want to say too much as it may ruin the experience. I went into this route completely blind and boy was I glad. All I can say that this route was the most popular out of all the routes for good reason. Got me playing up to 2 am with no regrets.😆😭

CAEL ANSELM:

- The Silver Knight

- The bias wrecker

- The sus

- He ruined me...

He is known in Godheim as the Silver Knight as well as the leader of the Rebellion. Decisive and apathetic, the heroine is unable to affect him emotionally in any form.🤡

Cael does not have an actual route, but a personal story, labeled as Expedition from his POV which may serve as an epilogue to the Godheim series. In his story, any unanswered questions are explained here, as well as the many actions he took that did not make it on screen.

If this wasn't a review I'd spend one whole section brainrotting about him so be grateful I'm trying to keep this short. 😅 Cael is a surprisingly interesting character by nature and it was very liberating to finally get a glimpse of his true feelings and thoughts throughout the heroine's journey in Godheim.

I'm scared to say more in case it may ruin any surprises. In my opinion, I enjoyed his story a LOT! It definitely made me feel depressed and empty in its own way and it hurts my heart to see that he never got a route of his own for reasons I won't get into right now. Absolutely amazing and one of my favorite parts of the Godheim series!

TRUE EPILOGUE:

Once you've finished all routes, the game will give you the option to choose one "True Ending", wherein you choose one of the boys to have a happily ever after with and by your own accord.

"One can only paint a world in which they believe in." 🥰

Please note that you can only choose one boy at a time. Your choice will then give you a Pictura based on which boy you choose.

To change your "True Ending", buy the Diadem from the shop to change your choice. You will not receive a different Pictura however.

I think the best thing about these endings were the music.😆 Each soundtrack was unique to each character and drop dead gorgeous to listen to. 😩

HEROINE (LITTLE PAINTER):

Despite China's strange attempts at creating self-insert heroines by leaving them nameless, the Little Painter was far from a blank slate! She's extremely relatable when it comes to her reactions and actions. Often times I would react a certain way to something an LI said or did, only for her to do the same thing! 🤣 I guess that could also count as a self-insert personality.

But if there's one thing I admire her greatly for, it would be her drive and determination to save Godheim. Her journey was far from easy and I doubt I could ever stay sane the way she did. Tbh, I didn't like the fact that her sufferings were never truly addressed properly, or rather, professionally ig?

I also found her quick adaptation and flexibility to her new environment extremely impressive. That goes the same to the way she wielded her powers for the first time. And how she grew stronger to go head to toe with even Clarence in his own route! You👏 Go👏Get👏 Em👏 Girl!

That said, she's not perfect. Some people found her to pushy and annoying though I personally found it okay. I was really glad how she didn't force herself to tolerate any crap and got that anger out rightfully.😆 (Asmoran deserved it...)

Final Thoughts:

I have enjoyed my journey immensely! The whole premise and setting drew me in, and I was surprised with the impressive narration which absolutely pummeled me to the ground (mostly on Clarence's route and no I'm not shutting up abt that).

The localization was also really superb? Yes it had a few typos + mistakes here and there, but they really pulled out all the stops when it came to making the dialogue natural and relatable. Not to mention a few large words that even I don't understand. 😂

It's not without it's imperfections of course. There are definitely some issues with the writing. And if you're looking for heavy romance or even fluff, Godheim is not the place to go to. 😅

Playing the Godheim arc took me about a week-ish, considering I had to level up and such. It may be a tedious process for some, but for me, it was an iron gate which I violently shook every day, screaming for the next chapter.

All in all, it's definitely worth playing! You don't lose much anyway considering it's free, so just give it a try. You can always drop it if you don't like it. My rating for this game is also very much biased and should not be taken seriously:

Question:

Hello! I wanted to ask something honeybee related that I've recently noticed. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Seishun Hajimemashita is set in the same universe as Starry Sky, since I remember reading somewhere on a blog that the twins either entered Seigetsu Academy before they moved or were friends with Tsukiko, Kanata and Suzuya. There was also a character from Photograph Journey who attended Seigetsu as well. Dynamic Chord and Blackish House also take place in the same universe as some of the characters are in the same agency. Said agency is also named Seigetsu productions, but I don't know if that means it's connected to the school, or if honeybee was reusing the name. Otomate used the name Arcadia a few times in their games, so the latter could be possible.

It’s been three thousand years since my last Honeybee game so I enlisted the help of good old google.

According to what I found, the hero (Chihaya) and heroine (Chitose) of Seishun Hajimemashita were friends with the heroine of Starry Sky (Tsukiko) and her childhood friends (Suzuya and Kanata). Chihaya and Chitose then went to Ikari Daiichi High School in Shizuoka which is attended by a character from Photograph Journey (Ryouhei). Tsukiko and co went to Seigetsu Academy in Niigata, which is also attended by another character from Photograph Journey (Yuuto).

Dynamic Chord and Blackish House are set in the fictional wards of Aitetsu-ku and Kokuyou-ku respectively, which are neighbouring wards. The heroine (Miu) of Dynamic Chord Apple Polisher and a band she’s friends with (Grief Lullaby), belong to Seigetsu Productions, which many of the characters of Blackish House also belong to.

As far as I can see there’s no link between Seigetsu Productions and Starry Sky since the games are under separate labels (Honeybee Black and Honeybee) so they’re likely just reusing the word.

Hi!!! OMG, these are a lot of questions!!! Answering took some time, but here they are!!! (from this random oc questions):

14. What types of characters would they gravitate towards in fiction? drop their kinlist

Elafi: He likes characters who, like him, are guided by their hearts, do the right thing, and strive for the greater good, overcoming all kinds of obstacles to stay true to themselves. Some characters that come to mind are: Pure Vanilla Cookie from CookieRun Kingdom, Xie Lian from Heaven Official’s Blessing, The Little Prince, Jonathan Joestar from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and Nausicaä from Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.

Ofidia: Fidi likes clever, creative, and interesting characters, just like her, those who solve their problems using wit rather than fists. I'm sure she’d find characters like Sherlock Holmes and MacGyver entertaining. She also loves strong and beautiful female characters, such as Jolyne Kujo from JJBA, Galadriel from the LOTR trilogy, Nadia from the otome The Arcana, and the entire female cast of Arcane.

Tigri: This guy is a fan of muscular men, strong in physical power, character, or development. I imagine him being a huge fan of JJBA (Dio is his guilty crush). He also likes characters like Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil, Dante from Devil May Cry, Shanks from One Piece, Obi-Wan Kenobi from Star Wars, and Prince Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

16. What makes them like someone instantly?

I decided to answer this from a purely romantic or sexual attraction perspective:

Elafi: He doesn’t know what he likes, he’s never liked anyone (so far). If you asked him right now, he’d give you a vague answer like, “Someone who’s a good person.”

Ofidia: She likes girls who are intellectually interesting and have big boobs (just being honest).

Tigri: He has a tendency to want to protect others, so while he’d love to date a big muscular guy because that’s a huge turn-on for him, he could also deeply connect with someone brave and interesting whom he feels the urge to protect.

17. What artistic medium would they be best at? (painting, photography, sculpting, etc.)

Elafi: He’s quite patient, so he might excel at time-consuming and detail-oriented crafts, like sculpting or wood carving. He doesn’t know how to do any of them yet, but he’d definitely be open to learn if someone taught him.

Ofidia: She’s very good at drawing. So many years spent locked up gave her plenty of time to practice. Her favorite thing to draw is clothing designs, but she’s also skilled at drawing realistic portraits of people and animals at a pretty solid level.

Tigri: I don’t see him having the patience for any kind of artistic activity that requires long dedication, but he surely enjoys seeing what others can create. He’s more into video games and sports, though he’s the one in his family who takes the best photographs.

26. What would their Youtube recommendations look like?

Elafi: Gardening tips, healthy cooking recipes, fun facts about animals and plants, hour-long compilations of animals doing adorable things, lo-fi music for sleeping and reading, yoga videos, and chakra-unlocking frequencies.

I’m considering childhood to be the stage before they became chimera children during puberty:

Elafi: The first time he went camping with his parents in the mountains and saw the starry sky in all its glory, completely surrounded by nature.

Ofidia: The time her grandmother let her use her sewing machine and she made her first dress for her doll.

Tigri: The first time he went to an amusement park with his parents and rode a space-themed roller coaster. That’s when he discovered his love for adrenaline rushes.
