The second reason for its considerable girth is the battery. As with all Manscaped products, its USB-C recharging port is an absolute blessing for anyone who travels. You can pop it into your laptop charger or, if you have one of Apple or Samsung's fancy new smartphones, you can use the same charging cable to top it up. You're always aware of the charge available thanks to the LCD screen that gives the percentage remaining, though in my test, this didn't seem incredibly accurate, as the battery amount fluctuated fairly wildly between uses.
USB-C is rapid, giving you full battery back within a few hours, and it can last a total of 75 minutes of continuous shaving. Our stubble doesn't require that level of scrutiny, but if you intended to use the shaver as a body hair tool, then you could do the full gamut of your torso and below in one charge.
To aid you in this endeavour, it features an LED light to illuminate the path ahead to those tricky bits that don't often see the sunshine. I didn't test trimming below the neck through my review, but I can see the value in the Chairman Pro's features. However, I would point back to its bulk, which could prove a bit tricky when shaving around those delicate areas that require precision.
Finally, the price seems reasonable at £150 considering all the features available. It is a pretty competitive price point compared to its rivals, like theBraun Series 9 Pro +'s £250 or thePanasonic ES-LS9A's £299cop. Of course, those devices have self-cleaning charging docks or longer batteries to justify that price.

Overall, I really liked the Chairman Pro the second I got over its hefty figure. It's big, but considering you do get the behemoth battery with rapid recharging and the broad shaver head and beard trimmer, there's not much this shaver can't tackle for most men. For anyone who shaves clean regularly or would like to take their beard edges a bit more seriously, this shaver offers some of the best value for money and enough versatility to adapt to your needs. A full chin shave? Consider it done. Tidy up your cheeks or neckline? It's a master of detailing. Hoping to explore manscaping below the neck? You're covered.
