Love After Lockup celeb Daonte already had one ex-con girlfriend. Now he’s heading into round two with Nicolle. He’s convinced she’s not after his money. But Daonte bought $3000 worth of stuff she told him she wanted when she got out. Plus, she wants $1000 cash to go shopping.

Daonte described himself on Love After Lockup as a romantic guy, but his history with women is sad. He wanted to be married before he was 30, but he’s still looking for the right woman at age 33. As a result, he went to a website called paper dolls to find a new flame. There he met Nicolle, who he claims is the love of his life.

Daonte and Nicolle dated for a year and a half until he proposed to her during one of his visits to see her in prison. She accepted, and now he’s making plans to start a new life with her. For starters, he gave her a small fortune while she’s been behind bars. And now he’s amassed a pile of expensive things for Nicolle to enjoy when she gets released on Love After Lockup.

Daonte really tried to impress his new fiancee on Love After Lockup. He bought three kinds of wine, a new iPhone, AirPods, a new watch, and plenty of other trinkets for his lady love. His justification for it all is that she said that’s what she wants. However, Daonte’s friend of 27 years, Derrick, believes Daonte is throwing too much money away.

Daonte’s Friend Says It’s Time to Grow Up

Love After Lockup’s new castmember Daonte showed his best friend Derrick the goods he planned to present to Nicolle. The sight of the stash astounded Derrick, and he said he thought Daonte was a sucker. Derrick believes his friend is suffering puppy love, and the relationship won’t last.

He asked Daonte how much money he had left for himself because it looked like Nicolle is getting $20 out of every $24 Daonte earns. Derrick said the amount Daonte spent on his new Love After Lockup fiancee is too much. He asked Daonte if he put a “down payment” on her?

Daonte justified it by saying he’s her man and she deserves it. His friend disagreed, calling Love After Lockup’s Daonte, a “dumba$$.” Derrick said he hoped it worked out, but he didn’t believe it would. But his problems aren’t over. He still has to convince his mother to be nice to his new lady.

Daonte dropped in to see his mother and tell her his exciting news. He’s about to get married to a woman he met in prison, and mama doesn’t seem pleased. The Love After Lockup star tried to lay some ground rules for his mother when she meets Nicolle. But Mom set him straight about that.

Daonte pleaded with his mom to be nice to Nicolle. After all, the Love After Lockup star told his mom, she might be her new daughter-in-law. Mom wanted to know how much money he spent on her in a year and a half? Daonte fudged and tried to avoid being specific, but Mom gave him a look, and he came clean.

She seemed incredulous that he funded that much commissary for a woman in prison. Mom reminded him that Nicolle said she got on the prison website to find a guy to take his money.

Daonte defended Nicolle, saying she thinks he’s one in a million, and she never expected to find a relationship. Mom said he just got out of an almost identical relationship with a girl named Chelsea. She took him for all his money, and he wound up living back with his mother. Mom told her son to know she’ll be watching on Wetv’s new season of Love After Lockup.
