The latest version of iOS comes with several new features and lets users edit their home screen in several ways. For instance, users can change their home screen wallpaper and apply a picture they clicked in its place. 5 Change The Home Screen Wallpaper
With iOS 16, users can change their home screen wallpaper and set an image they clicked, an emoji background, or featured pictures as the wallpaper. To do so, they need to open the 'Wallpaper' options menu in the 'Settings' app, which contains all the options.
Tap the 'Add New Wallpaper' button below the current pair of the home screen and lock screen wallpapers. Select from Photos, Emoji, Weather, and Astronomy-related options and follow the on-screen instructions to change the home screen wallpaper. Users can also select whether they want the wallpaper to appear blurry to highlight the app icons.
4 Organize Apps On Your iPhone
By default, iOS places a new app toward the end of the current lineup, but users can change that when they want. To change the position of an app, tap and hold on to an empty space on the home screen until the apps start to jiggle, and drag the app to the desired place. During the process, the operating system removes the other apps from the way.
Users can also organize apps in folders. To create a folder, enter the jiggle mode, drag an app, and drop it onto another. This creates a folder with both apps while occupying the same space as an app icon. Additionally, one can change the folder's name depending on the purpose of the apps in it. For instance, e-commerce apps like Amazon could be in a Shopping folder.
3 Reorder Home Screen Pages
People organize their iPhone's home screens in different ways. Some keep the work-related apps on the first page, while others could keep communication apps handy. For all intents and purposes, iOS lets users reorder the home screen pages. To rearrange pages on the home screen, users should touch and hold an empty area and tap the dots at the bottom.
On the next screen, drag the home pages to the desired location and tap 'Done' in the top right corner. Here's something that not a lot of iOS users know - they can hide particular home screen pages too. For this, they must get into the edit mode and uncheck the home screen pages they don't want to appear.
App widgets help users get important information at a glance. Almost all apps have widgets, which are available in the widgets menu that shows up on pressing the plus icon in jiggle mode. The operating system not only allows users to select the widget they want but change its size and spacing on the home screen.

1 Use Smart Stacks To Organize Widgets
With iOS 14, Apple added Smart Stacks. Essentially, Smart Stacks refers to multiple widgets stacked on top of one another in a manner that saves space on the home screen, but that's not all. Analyzing the usage patterns, iOS rearranges the order of widgets and displays one that could be most useful based on time, location, or activity.
Users can create a Smart Stack by dragging and dropping a widget on top of another, given that both should be the same size. This way, users can stack up to 10 widgets in the space of one. To customize the Stack, press and hold until it jiggles, and select the 'Edit Stack' button from the dropdown menu.
